In order to finance the release of Sonny, a giant anteater, an international virtual fundraising run was organized. The initiative connected participants from around the world with the shared goal of running for Sonny and contributing to the conservation of this endangered species. The virtual run raised $10,000, covering materials, transportation, and laboratory costs required for the release. As a result, Sonny successfully returned to the wild in September 2025.
